JySec is part of the CitySec network, which connects local CitySec communities across the Nordics and Baltics. Based in Central Finland, JySec is an active Information & Cybersecurity community that brings together enthusiasts, professionals, and learners to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and build connections in the field of cybersecurity and information security.
As part of the broader CitySec initiative, JySec regularly organizes meetups and gatherings designed to foster learning, networking, and social interaction, all within an open, welcoming, and informal atmosphere.
Community Events
On May 24, 2025, JySec hosted a meetup at Crazy Town Jyväskylä, sponsored by Accenture PLC. The meetup included people around Jyväskylä who work or are interested in the field of cybersecurity.

Kenneth Lampinen, Head of Global Security Operations at Landis+Gyr. He introduced the concept of CIRP (Cyber Incident Response Plan) and explained why companies should have one in place. The discussion explored how organizations can formally approve CIRP documents, define the relevant frameworks, and establish a solid incident response policy.
Also, the event included a presentation of a simulated cyberattack targeting an active directory environment, presented by the Accenture plc team. The simulation aimed to improve detection, response, and overall company security. It demonstrated how attackers could exploit vulnerabilities such as discovering a CCTV console administrator password stored in plain text and illustrated the type of sensitive information that can be obtained through such breaches.

Meeting Like Minded People
One of the greatest benefits of events like JySec meetups, organized by dedicated volunteers and sponsored by local companies, is an opportunity to meet professionals who share the same passion for cybersecurity.
For students, it’s an excellent starting point to understand the realities of the industry, see how companies approach security challenges, and learn what skills are truly in demand.
For professionals and businesses, it’s a valuable networking space where knowledge can be exchanged, and collaboration opportunities can grow.
