Women4Cyber Finland launched their first mentorship programme in January this year. The programme aimed to connect experienced leaders and experts with aspiring women seeking to advance their careers, and it was run in collaboration with local CitySecs across Finland.

The first edition of the mentorship programme proved to be highly successful, creating real connections, driving personal growth, and, in some cases, organically leading to future career opportunities for participants. Following the great feedback we received, we are excited to launch the Second Edition in 2026!

Mentees: The mentorship programme is open to women of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of their current level of experience. Whether you are just starting out, progressing in your career, or looking to make a career change, this programme offers valuable opportunities for growth and development.

Mentors: Are you a seasoned cybersecurity professional, ready to give back to the community through mentoring the next generation of women leaders and experts? Regardless of gender or area of expertise, we invite you to share your valuable experience. Serving as a mentor offers an opportunity to shape the future of cybersecurity, expand your professional network, and develop your own leadership and coaching skills. If you are passionate about fostering talent and helping ambitious women achieve their full potential, your guidance is exactly what the W4CFI community needs.

The programme offers three tracks tailored to different career goals:

  • Career Growth: For women seeking guidance on career advancement, networking, and professional development.

  • Technical Skill Growth: For women looking to enhance their technical skills and expertise in specific areas of cybersecurity.

  • Governance and Risk Management Development: For women interested in developing their knowledge and skills in governance, risk management, and compliance.

The mentorship programme will run for six months starting in January 2026, with monthly meetings conducted either in-person or online. W4CFI will carefully match mentors and mentees based on their chosen tracks, expertise, and learning styles. Please be aware that the programme is aimed for individuals living in Finland.

Ready to take your cybersecurity career to the next level? Submit your application by the end of December 7.
