Women4Cyber Finland is excited to announce the launch of a new mentorship programme designed to empower women in the cybersecurity field. The programme aims to connect experienced leaders and experts with aspiring women seeking to advance their careers, and it will be run in collaboration with local CitySecs across Finland.
The mentorship programme is open to women of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of their current level of experience. Whether you are just starting out, progressing in your career, or looking to make a career change, this programme offers valuable opportunities for growth and development.
The primary goal of the programme is to foster a supportive and collaborative environment where women can learn from experienced professionals, build their networks, and gain the confidence and skills needed to succeed in cybersecurity. By pairing mentees with mentors who share their interests and goals, W4CFI aims to create meaningful connections that can have a lasting impact.
"My own personal journey in cybersecurity has been influenced positively by the mentorship I have received," said Linda Milvi, Vice-Chairwoman of W4CFI. "This inspired me to bring up the idea of launching a mentorship programme under W4CFI, so that we can pay it forward and help other women achieve their full potential in this exciting field.”
The programme offers three tracks tailored to different career goals:
Career Growth: For women seeking guidance on career advancement, networking, and professional development.
Technical Skill Growth: For women looking to enhance their technical skills and expertise in specific areas of cybersecurity.
Governance and Risk Management Development: For women interested in developing their knowledge and skills in governance, risk management, and compliance.
The mentorship programme will run for six months, with monthly meetings conducted either in-person or online. W4CFI will carefully match mentors and mentees based on their chosen tracks, expertise, and learning styles.
